Live music is being held hostage by an invisible assailant and although we can’t fight the problem, we can help work towards a solution.
Music venues across the UK are facing lockdown measures which have put already struggling businesses in even deeper water. Our entire local music economy is on the brink of collapse, so now more than ever, we need to come together as a community to save our live music venues. #SaveOurVenues is a campaign set up by the Music Venue Trust to help partner up with over 500+ UK venues that need funding at this time, most of the submissions below are #SaveOurVenues campaigns, but we have also included other venues individual fundraisers too.
We’ve compiled a list below, of the UK venues (that we’ve been made aware of) that need the most help during this time. We have provided each individual fundraising link with every venue listing, for you to read the venues own stories in their own words. Please donate whatever you can spare to the venue with the lowest amount of donations/time left on their campaign if your preferred venues have completed/reached their funding goal for their campaigns. We have prioritised the list in order of urgency, based on how much funding is needed alongside the time left before the campaign ends.
If you have a fundraiser, or know of a campaign set up for a struggling UK music venue that isn’t included on this list, please email us at onthehousemusic.submissions@gmail.com with the subject title ‘Fundraisers’ and we will add them to the article.
Together, we can come out the other side of this with places to keep performing and enjoying live music. If we work together, we can #saveourvenues
