OTH Founder & Head Director
Would absolutely smash a pack of chocolate hobnobs at any time, for future reference. I built this website for fun back in 2013 to review bands I liked, and as more friends started to help out being they wanted to support their local scene, I had this crazy idea of “Community Music Reviewing”. 7 years later, we’ve now got 70+ reviewers, 660+ artists, a brand new website, a record label, a magazine, a festival and regular local events – and I still have no clue how we ended up here!
I’m a bit of a workaholic, but only on my own terms. Being iinvolved in the South West local music scene for 10+ years, I play in Crooked Little Sons, DORKS and any other band who want me to help out. I also run Attitude Festival in Bristol, which is a part of the OTH brand, as well as running, creating and managing around 90% of everything you see that isn’t music reviews!
Music is my passion and I mean that with every fibre of my being, it’s an unhealthy obsession and I’ll do anything to get a fix. This website and its community is my biggest achievement and I hope you all enjoy the new website, we are always looking for feedback and improvements so please get in touch! I look forward to collaborating with you soon in the future x

Martha is a South west UK based photographer focusing on editorial and music, shooting bands and portraits. Coming from an artistic and creative background, she pushes boundaries to make her photos unique to each musician. Whether it be backstage behind the scenes, portraits or live show, the bands she’s worked with appreciate her professional conduct in collaborating on ideas or a quick turnover of work to a high standard.
Martha approaches each shoot individually, covering every angle and makes sure her editing and post production compliments the shots. Her entire ethos has meant that she often gets asked to shoot clients again as she has a professional attitude.
“I am part of OTH as I wanted to give something back to the local industry. Underground bands deserve the love and hype that larger bands have. I adore discovering brand new bands and telling everyone I know about them. There’s just a beautiful community in the underground scene.”

OTH Silent Co-Director
My name is Larry brown. I’ve played bass in a band called Crooked little sons for about 8 years now and have toured extensively over that period.
I was also here at the beginning of On The House and was part of the original team that reviewed bands for the Blog.

OTH Content Editor & Co-Director
I’m a full-time Content Writer & Project Manager at a website design agency, before this I worked in Marketing & Communications. I am an aspiring novelist, currently working on a Fantasy-horror book (which is almost finished!!) and have skills in graphic design, social media and editing. Aside from this, I read a lot of books and zone out playing video games.
I have experience from a huge number of projects, studies and jobs that involve writing, editing and design. As a freelance writer, I wrote pieces for video games, music, financial technology, lifestyle, food and much more. Design wise, I have created promotional material, social media content, publications like magazines and branding material.
For almost three years, I have been working as the Editor for On The House. I’ve always been passionate about music and became a part of On The House because I see so much potential in it and the community that has been built – there isn’t anything out there like it! I really appreciate local music and want to do what I can to help artists grow.
Although I don’t have much musical experience (other than learning guitar during lockdown), I can utilise my creative and professional skills to help On The House and everyone in its community (I’m also the Director’s partner, so that too…)!
Turnstile, Enter Shikari, FIDLAR, PUP, Anderson Paak, IDLES, Pinegrove, Ice Cube, In This Moment, Beartooth, Lizzo, Beyonce
OTH Interviewer & Reporter
I play in a few different bands in the South West, most notably Crooked Little Sons under the allies ‘Josh Crooked’. I’ve been releasing music in bands for over a decade and have been lucky enough to feature on a few tracks for other artists in recent years. Asides from being a creative in CLS and Exeter hardcore outfit DORKS, I have also just started putting out ukulele covers under the name PunkuleleUK, as well as my own solo music and a few other projects in the works that have come about during the lockdown.
I also work with Kult DIY Plymouth (formally known as Black Sail Records). In the past I have helped the organisation team with their annual festival ‘Get Rad’ and also leading the team regarding their smaller sister festival, ‘Get Rad 0.5’ that usually takes place in the autumn.
Over the last ten years, I have accumulated many skills which have given me great outcomes. A booking agent, an events manager and most of all a performer. I have also had success in self band management, social media promotions and as a field reporter/field interviewer.
Besides being best mates and sharing a few bands with Marcus, I am a part of OTH as I grew up listening to punk rock, it always encouraged a sense of community. If there wasn’t one, you made your own. I’ve spent half my life investing my time in music and ultimately it takes time to build up contact, connections and friends. The idea of building a local community and looking after each other makes sense to me, and hopefully encourages bands to shed the cut throat mentality this industry can sometimes bring. When it comes to the local scene, I like encouraging bands and helping each other out. That way when someone ‘makes it’, we all ‘make it’.

OTH Social Assistant
Coffee, mosh pit and video game enthusiast, vape advocate and lover of all animals. Picky with my audio devices and flexible when it comes to genre. If I could meet one person, it would be Justin Chancellor, just to hear the live bass intro to Forty Six & 2.
I review a variety of music, including singles, albums, music videos, live shows including livestreams and dabble in PR. Enjoy a good interview and chat.
Post Punk Press creator and editor since 2010, officially branded in 2016.
Have interviewed a variety of people from various walks of life. Those include, artists, bands, television and film actors and mental health practitioners. Guest wrote for many different publications, including Cardiff Times and Grumpy Magazine.
Pretty terrible bassist in an alternative punk band in 2009 and played 2 live shows.
On The House has such a welcoming community with people from all different aspects of the music industry. Being part of On The House not only lets me develop my skills and knowledge, but also allows me to network, make friends and have fun while I find the new flavour of the month.

OTH Graphic Designer & Illustrator
I’m Laurence, I’m a musician and graphic designer from Kent. I do the graphics and branding for On The House. I work within the music scene creating everything from album art and gig posters to merch designs. I love working with On The House because I love the community it has brought together from the DIY scenes across the country. It’s great to be able to communicate and interact with so many awesome bands and people in one place.

OTH Website Developer
I’m Matt (or Matty, I’ll answer to anything, mind). I’m a 30-something web developer based in Leicester, and I run Kaluna. I have been a web developer for the best part of a decade – and it’s something that is both exciting and rewarding in equal measure.
I play and sing for Last Edition, also based in Leicester. We’ve been a band for over 10 years and it’s a huge part of my life. I have been playing in bands since I was around 16 years old, when my cousin asked me to join his band at the time, Accidental President.
Joining my two passions (web development and music) has been a long term goal, the On The House website being the third or fourth website I’ve built that can be considered “music industry” projects.
I’m a huge ska fan, but I’m not afraid of a big fat beasty riff.
