With no fucking around, bursting on to the scene with stomach squelching growls and brain bruising beats, Piss Viper's mammoth EP 'Pick Clean My Bones' leaves no survivors. The first thing that caught my attention was the groovy riffs, every song is oozing with a blend of hardcore fierceness and straight heavy metal brutality. The energy of this EP is immense, I can't help but bounce around in my seat whilst writing this. Piss Viper have it all, every solo is perfectly crafted and expertly played, the sharp and snappy sound of the kit really kicks up the power, alongside vicious screams, growls and squelches that could rival the gods - I really couldn't pick fault with these guys. All I know right now, is that I really want to see this live. These tracks have so much command over me when I'm just sat in my living room in my pants, in a live setting, these guys would guarantee full control. Easily one of the most polished heavy metal bands I've reviewed in a long time, you need this EP in your life, I'm struggling to comprehend how I've managed to live without it. Lets smash some stuff together and whoever has the least teeth at the end wins.
As always, we urge you to go to shows, buy merchandise/new music and invest in these bands who have ever so kindly paid out of their own pockets to release music for free, so you can find your next favourite band. On The House is a non-personal profit business, any profit made from monetisation of content is put into an account which funds low cost local gigs in the Exeter area featuring acts we have previously written about, as well as some of the best emerging local talent the UK has to offer.
